Bridgett Hankerson, LCSW, joined CBHDA in March 2024 as a Senior Policy Analyst and covers policy issues related to the Behavioral Health Transition of the Mental Health Services Act.
Before joining CBHDA, she was Principal Consultant for the California State Senate’s Human Services Committee and covered issues relating to social safety net programs and services, and homelessness. Prior to that, Bridgett was a Consultant with the Senate Office of Research. Bridgett also worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and the California Department of State Hospitals.
She has over 15 years in Public Service, including direct work in safety net programs, such as CalWORKs, Medi-Cal, and Child Welfare within the County Social Services system, clinical practice in behavioral health, licensing and certification of mental health facilities, coordination of compliance, and program consultation.
