Amer Rashid serves as CBHDA’s Legislative Advocate. He grew up in Fresno, CA and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Global Cultural Studies from Whittier College. After completing his Bachelors, Amer moved to Sacramento as a Capitol Fellow in the Office of Assembly Majority Leader Reyes. Here, he gained critical insight that allowed him to develop a high-level foundation into the legislative process. Amer further engages himself in California’s Capitol community by serving on the board of the Arab Caucus within the California Democratic Party. Along with this, he is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Program, which coordinates a network of inspirational people under the age of 30 to collaborate and address local, regional and global challenges.
